A stock TH700R4 can handle up to 350 horsepower. An upgraded TH700R4 can handle up to 550 horsepower. While some people have stated they had problems with these transmissions in vehicles with over 300 horsepower, a remanufactured transmission can handle up to 350 horsepower.
